On June 19, 2018, in the premises of the Municipal Council hall in the municipality of MAT, training was organized with the staff of the City Hall on “Participatory Budgeting and the role of European Integration in Local Government”.
This training was provided in cooperation between the German Foundation Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES), operating in Albania and the EU Corner of this city.

On 6 August 2018, different from other times, the EU Corner of the Municipality of Mat was more familiar with the citizens of this city.
The EU Coordinator, together with the Deputy Coordinator of this Corner, took the initiative to talk to citizens, distribute materials and brochures about the Corner, EU history, and irregular migration, but not only.
The purpose of this initiative was that the EU Corner gains the right popularity in a small town like Burrel, where everyone feels free to inquire and to know everything about the EU.

On 8 March 2018, within the framework of the International Women's Day, the EU Corner in Mallakastra Municipality, in cooperation with the Department of Social Affairs in this municipality and some civil society organizations working in Ballsh city, organized a exchange of views meeting with women of the region.

“Clean environment, healthy life” is the title of the activity that the EU Corner in the Mallakastra municipality, organized in cooperation with the Social-cultural Center of the Children of the City of Ballsh, on March 20, 2018.
This activity, attended by the students and academic staff from three secondary schools of Mallakstra region, as well as representatives of the municipality and parents, conveyer very clear and meaningful messages about the importance, values and necessity for the environment protection.

On the World Down Syndrome Day, the EU Corner in the Mallakastra Commune, in cooperation with the “Jonathan” Center in this city, organized on March 21, 2018, an awareness raising campaign for residents in order to encourage children and adults with Down syndrome, to become an active and normal part of the society.
The slogan of this campaign was “My friends, my community”.
