  • 'Municipalities for Europe' delivers training to the EU local Coordinators
    The EU local coordinators in each respective municipality had an intensive training day today at the European Union Information Center in Albania, delivered by the project leader of the project 'Municipalities for Europe'.

    The 'Municipalities for Europe' project carried out today in Lushnja, the first national meeting among Mayors and local coordinators who will administer the EU Corners in each of the municipalities in Albania, thus marking a normal start of the project with all actors and local stakeholders.
  • 'Municipalities for Europe' starts the inception phase
    The 'Municipalities for Europe', a recently funded project by the European Union in Albania aiming at supporting the establishment of European Local Offices (EU Corners) in each of the 61 municipalities, started the first phase of its implementation.

    The European Union in cooperation with the Albanian Government is implementing the project “Municipalities for Europe”. This project is being implemented in 61 municipalities of Albania, with the support of 61 local EU coordinators. The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the governance capacities of the municipalities in relation to EU affairs, as well as to inform the Albanian citizens and local administrations in Albania about the EU, its policies and programs.

  • European Tree Day

    On January 31, 2018, the EU Corner in Kukës Municipality, in cooperation with the City Hall, organized the activity with the theme “European Tree Day”.
    The city of Kukes preserves its ancient and rich ethno-cultural tradition, the cult of the Tree, which has special meaning and symbolism that drives people and society towards the most important activities of their lives.
