The EU-funded project 'Municipalities for Europe' held today at the EU Info Centre in Tirana a networking day with 61 EU local coordinators located in each municipality of the candidate country. The role that local coordinators have in communicating Europe at local level, bringing valuable information directly to the citizens of their municipality and the functioning of the EU Local Offices, were the main topics discussed during this long training day. Addressing the workshop, the Head of the EU Delegation, Romana Vlahutin, reminded that nothing will be different for Albania the day when the country will join the EU, as everything will have changed beforehand. 'I believe that local government, being closer to the real needs and real wishes of the citizens, is the place where real changes take place. Therefore, through this project we will help you to be part of this change, 'said the EU Ambassador to the participants from all over Albania.
