    This was the theme the EU Corner in Rroskovec municipality organized today with the young people of this city offering a good opportunity of conversation.

    Climate change, human impact on the environment and the greenhouse effect are the most concerning issues that people are facing in the recent years. Therefore, about this topic, the participating youth presented their ideas on how they could contribute and change in the environment they live in.

  • The organization of the activity “We Clean the earth we love”

    On 17 April 2018, within the framework of the “Earth Week” the EU corner in Patos municipality together with the city youth joined the voluntary activity “ We Clean the earth we love” initiated by the Corner team.

    This activity aimed at cleaning the streets in the city's entrance area.

    During this activity, the youth also distributed various awareness raising leaflets on land protection issues in some local businesses operating in Patos Municipality,

  • Presentation of the EU's commitment towards gender equality

    On April 14, 2018, in the monthly “Women’s Friday” event, the EU Corner in Patos Municipality presented to representatives of the Local Women's Platform of the city, gender mainstreaming and its importance in the process of empowering women at the local level, based on the EU's commitment towards gender equality and its best practices.

    At the end of the presentation, it was evidenced that the Patos administration fulfills the gender ratio, as 53% of the employees are women and are mainly at managerial levels.

  • Environmental contest “From trash to artwork”

    On April 19, 2018, within the framework of the “Earth Week”, the EU Corner in Patos Municipality in cooperation with the Environmental Office of this municipality, as well as students from several city schools, organized the environmental contest “From trash to artwork”.
    In this competition, the students presented some objects prepared by them with recyclable materials and were tested on their knowledge of European environmental protection legislation.

  • Environmental awareness campaign

    On April 24, 2018, the EU Corner in Patos municipality, in cooperation with public officials and greenery workers of this municipality, organized a cleaning the environment initiative along the Ring Road and the City Parks.
    Many young girls and boys from the city joined this initiative, who together with the EU Corner team and municipal employees also facilitated the dissemination of various environmental awareness messages.
