On April 19, 2018, the Coordinator and Vice-Coordinator of the EU Corner at the Municipality of Elbasan, organized an information session with the Elbasan Youth Council at Vasil Kamami high school premises of this city.

The members of the Elbasan Youth Council, as well as students from various secondary schools of the city, were informed on the project Municipalities for Europe, as well as the role and function of the EU Corner in the city of Elbasan.

On 22 April 2018, the EU Corner in the Municipality of Elbasan, in cooperation with the Youth Council of this city, organized an event commemorating the Earth Day.

The activity started with a visit to the seedling farm of the Municipality of Elbasan where participants in this activity received detailed information about the variety of plants and flowers cultivated in its parcels.

Furthermore, the activity continued with the selection of several trees which were then planted in a specific area of the city of Elbasan.

On May 9, 2018, on the occasion of the Europe Day, the EU Corner at the Municipality of Elbasan organized a meeting with the 8th grade students of the secondary school “Hamit Mullisi”.

During this meeting, a presentation in generalabout the European Union and the role of the EU Corner was introduced.

Particular attention was paid to illegal immigration and to the observance of free movement rules in the Schengen area.

On May 10, 2018, the EU Corner near the Municipality of Elbasan organized an informative meeting with high school students of the city who are also members of the Elbasan Youth Council, on the opportunities to study in the European Union/Europe.

Upon their request, the staff of the EU Corner prepared an informative material on the application procedures, criteria, deadlines and other information neccessary for students who wish to study to a European university.

Within the “International Consumer Rights Day” on 15 March 2018, the EU Corner in the Municipalityof Durres, in cooperation with the Albanian Consumer Center, organized two informative meetings with high school students from “Olsi Lasku” and “Besnik Hidri” schools of the Rrashbull administrative unit of this city.
