"Municipalities for Europe" and ASPA conducted on June 15-16, 2023 in Tirana, a training for the first group of staff members from the European Integration Units of and respective municipalities. The training focused on the successive phases of project application, within the framework of the Twinning and Citizen Engagement calls, under the European Union's Twinning and Civil Society Program (CERV).
On April 11-13, 2023, the "Municipalities in Europe" project, in collaboration with ASPA, continued its series of training sessions with the theme "Journey towards Writing a Successful Project Proposal". During the three-day training, trainees also were provided with a dedicated space for sharing their experiences and lessons learned from the application phases for Grants under the "EU for Municipalities" project, experiences which were shared by the experts of this project on the third day of training.
The "Municipalities for Europe" project, in collaboration with the Albanian School of Public Administration, organized on May 5-7, 2023 the following training session, in the city of Shëngjin, for the newly employed representatives of the European Integration Units in the municipalities of Albania. The 3-day training focused on the Management of European Integration Structures at the local level, their functions, as well as communication and visibility elements.
"Municipalities for Europe" project and the Albanian School of Public Administration (ASPA) organized a 3-day training on March 29-30-31, 2023, in the city of Kruja, which was held with the new staff of the European Integration Units in the 61 municipalities of Albania, as well as the teams involved in writing and implementing projects funded under the "EU for Municipalities" grant scheme.
"Mapping" and "Foreign-Funded Projects," a networking meeting with the 61 European Integration UnitsOn Friday, February 9, 2023, the Agency for the Support of Local Self-Government, in collaboration with the "Municipalities for Europe" project, held a networking meeting with the leaders and staff of the 61 European Integration Units in the municipalities of Albania.
The meeting aimed to discuss further steps in coordinating the European Integration Units in the open negotiation process and primarily negotiating Chapter 22, "Regional Development and Coordination of Structural Instruments."
