Opportunities to Benefit from European Union Programs

On January 29, 2019, the EU Integration Unit in the Municipality of Pogradec in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, the Organization Beyond the Barriers, the Contact Point for the Erasmus + Youth in Action Program in Albania and the European Solidarity Corpse organized a Youth Information Day on "Opportunities to Benefit from European Union Programs". This event was organised in the framework of the “Municipalities for Europe” EU Funded Project.

The EU in my city: Challenges. Opportunities. Development

Municipalities in Europe, in cooperation with the EU Corner in Vlora and the municipality, organized today a conference with different stakeholders in Vlora city: civil society organizations, academics, business groups, students, representatives from local institutions, representatives of the Delegation of the European Union to Albania as well as EU Member States embassies in our country. The conference was manily focused on the development of the city of Vlora and its European perspective.

The EU Corner in Puka organizes "Puka Culture Day" in the framework of the "European Year for Cultural Heritage"

Puka Culture Day, at the same time the opening of the touristic season, this year in the city of Puka was organised with the support of the Project ‘Municipalities for Europe’.

Considered as an activity which this year is also combined with the ‘European Year of Cultural Heritage’, the Puka Culture day, took place in several forms. At the beginning a round table was organized to talk about the cultural and natural potentials of the area and their role in the development of tourism in this region.

National and local media journalists in Albania visit the project 'Municipalities for Europe'

Today, Albanian national and local media journalists visited several projects funded by the European Union in Albania, including the EU corner in the city of Lushnja, part of the project 'Municipalities for Europe', which is an EU initiative to support local government in the 61 municipalities of the country.

The EU-funded Municipalities for Europe Project kicks off in Lushnja

The 'Municipalities for Europe' project carried out today in Lushnja, the first national meeting among Mayors and local coordinators who will administer the EU Corners in each of the municipalities in Albania, thus marking a normal start of the project with all actors and local stakeholders.

The 'Municipalities for Europe', a recently funded project by the European Union in Albania aiming at supporting the establishment of European Local Offices (EU Corners) in each of the 61 municipalities, started the first phase of its implementation.
