Improving and expanding tourism services in the Mountain areas should be considered through the lens of preserving, consolidating, and promoting what the nature and the old tradition. The peculiarity and the quality of local food is a great potential that needs to be promoted as it embeds an economic development opportunity including through tourism.

The launching cremony of the “Heritage +” Camp was organised on June 18, 2018, at Berat Municipality Conference Hall. This event was organized by the Municipality of Berat with the support of the “Municipalities for Europe” Project. This activity enjoyed the support and cooperation of other important partners, such as the US Peace Corps, Margarita Craft Center, 'Kristo Isak' Vocational High School and the Organization Cultural Heritage without Borders.

On June 6, 2018, the EU Corner Coordinator at the Municipality of Kurbin conducted a promotional activity of the EU Corner in this city with students of the 8th grade at the school No. 3 in Laç, Kurbin.
Notwithstanding the introduction with the EU's Corner, the students discussed on the criteria of Albania's EU Integration Process.
At the same time, they also met some of the works of the distinguished students of the city, prepared with this theme.

Puka Culture Day, at the same time the opening of the touristic season, this year in the city of Puka was organised with the support of the Project ‘Municipalities for Europe’.

Considered as an activity which this year is also combined with the ‘European Year of Cultural Heritage’, the Puka Culture day, took place in several forms. At the beginning a round table was organized to talk about the cultural and natural potentials of the area and their role in the development of tourism in this region.

On 07.06.2018, the thematic activity on Integrated Air Quality Management - Challenges of Meeting European Standards was organized in Mallakastra Municipality.
