  • Municipalities as a positive engine for Albania's EU integration, performance report published

    Tirana, 26 April 2018 - The EU Delegation to Albania, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Albanian mayors and the 61 EU local coordinators in the Albanian municipalities met today in Tirana to discuss local government performance on EU related matters. The discussions focused on the progress made towards establishing effective institutional and administrative systems for advancing the European integration process at the local level.

  • A Public Event in Prrenjas on Women Prospective in future European Albania “Integration comes from us – We Can Influence the Changes!”

    The 'Municipalities for Europe' project, in cooperation with the EU Corner of Prrenjas and the municipality jointly organized on 24 April, 2018 the activity “Integration comes from us – We Can Influence the Changes!” A Public Event on Women Prospective in future European Albania. This event was organised under the auspices of the Mayor of Prrenjas Ms. Miranda Rira. Its aim was to foster the debates on the gender equality issues and discuss on the challenges that women in Albania are facing in their daily activity and their life.    

  • The Earth's international day sets in Cërrik through the EU Corner

    A promotional activity on the occasion of the Earth International Day was organized today in Cërrik, bringing to the attention of the citizens, as well as the various central and local structures, the importance of the preservation of the environment and the good management of the land in this part of Albania, considered as highly productive and rich in different cultures.

  • The Young people of Roskovec closer to the Europian Union
    This initiative comes in the same time with celebration on 17th of April, of the European Youth Information Day! The European Youth Information policy is adopted in a resolution of the Council in 25 November, 2015. The main principle of the policy is participation by and information for young people. Therefore such initiatives that have in focus youth education and information was very important.
  • EU Local Coordinators are introduced with European Union policies at the local level - 13 April 2018

    Following the enhancement of the capacities of EU local coordinators in all municipalities of the country, in order to successfully address the challenges that arise from the European integration process also for the local government units, the project “Municipalities for Europe” in cooperation with ASPA successfully completed a series (2) of two-day training sessions on “European Union Policies at the Local Level”.
