The EU Deskt of the Municipality of Gramsh, organized the activity "Tourism, a good opportunity for the development of Gramsh".
The purpose of this activity was the involvement of the community as well as of interest groups, mainly farmers and agri-businesses, in a specific debate regarding the development of tourism in Gramshi Municipality.
The meeting was opened by Mrs. Luljeta Dollani, Mayor of Gramsh, who emphasized in her speech that the Municipality is welcoming any initiative undertaken or to be undertaken in the future by interest groups and will making available to them all the avaiable municipality resources.
In addition, Mr. Kai Nagel, Representative of the EU Delegation in Albania, emphasized in his address the care that must be demonstrated by entrepreneurs in the field of agro tourism to preserve biodiversity and natural monuments of the area.
Subsequently, Mrs.Grigor Gjechi, Director of Rural Development Policies, Leader of IPARD Program Management Authority, at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, presented to the participants full information on the support provided to local producers and farmers through the IPARD Program funded by the European Union, and explained the application procedures in this program.
The meeting continued with an open debate between panelists and interest groups (farmers and agro tourism businesses) working in the Gramshi area.
The meeting was followed with several visits to the most attractive tourist areas of the city of Gramsh.
