POGRADEC, 9th of May, 2019 – In the framework of “Europe Day” celebrations, the European Integration and Foreign Assistance Coordination Unit in the municipality of Pogradec, in cooperation with the city’s high schools, organized the “Europe Day – United in diversity” event.
The activities goal was to highlight and recognize the European Union values and the importance of making them part of our culture, in order to make the European integration a more natural process for Albanian citizens.
The event kicked off with the speech of Deputy Mayor, Mr. Avdulla Cano, who stressed the importance of youth participation in the European integration process.
The meeting proceeded with students discussing and exchanging ideas on possible projects regarding the EU and on how the EU Corner in their Municipality can help implement this ideas.
Finalizing the meeting, the students created the “I say “Yes” to EU” flag, with the colors of the European Union flag.
