The MfE team held two days of intensive meetings in the Municipality of Gjirokastra, with the mayors of the municipalities that are part of the district, members of the City Council, civil society organizations, as well as European Integration Units staff.
Mr. Orlando Fusco, Programme Manager for Good Governance in the EUD Office in Tirana, attended the meetings and events, that were hosted by the Mayor of Gjirokastra, Mr. Flamur Golemi.
We had very fruitful discussions on what was achieved, the challenges of the first phase, as well as the objectives of the second phase of "Municipalities for Europe", a project funded by the "European Union".
The 2-day activities were held together with the “EU for Municipalities” project, with which "Municipalities for Europe" will be cooperating closely during this phase, with the common goal of strengthening the capacity of municipalities, during the EU integration process.
