Albanian School of Public Administration and the "Municipalities for Europe" project, launched a series of trainings on European Union Policies and Legislation.
In the context of opening negotiations with the European Union, while being aware of the role that the local government units have in the integration process of Albania, the trainings target employees from different sectors of the structures of municipalities in Albania.
The first training, held on 20 and 21st of October 2022, focused on "Social Protection, Employment and Consumer Protection".
On the first day, Mrs. Blerta Hyska, Training Manager at the Albanian School of Public Administration and Mrs. Jolanda Trebicka, head of the "Municipalities for Europe" Project greeted the attendees. 
Participants received information and became familiar with the policies of the EU, especially regarding Social Protection and Employment according to the chapter of the EU Acquis, presented by the expert Aida Gugu.
Regarding the challenges of implementing the EU Acquis in terms of social protection and employment policies at the local level, the speaker was Mr. Kastriot Sulka.
On the second day of the training, topics related to consumer protection were discussed, where expert Aida Gugu spoke about consumer protection according to the EU Acquis and Albania's obligations.
The topic that brought many discussions between the attendees and the expert Ersida Teliti, was that of consumer protection structures at the local level, where concrete examples from the daily work of these structures were taken into account.
On the second day of the training discussed the importance of statistics and public procurement, as well as obligations for Albania.
This training, the first of this series, is organized through combining theoretical presentations by experts and practical exercises of the covered topics.
