"70 % of the European Union legislation will be implemented at the local level. Therefore, municipalities must roll up their sleeves and prepare to be an integral part of the integration process, in cooperation with the central government, so that the great dream of the vast majority of Albanians becomes true.

These were the messages expressed in the large virtual activity held by the municipality of Rrogozhina, as part of the series of activities organized by "Municipalities for Europe", a project funded by the European Union, with all municipalities in Albania.

During these meetings, the MfE project team in cooperation with the European Integration Units, that have been already set up in each municipality, is presenting to the staff of these institutions the 2019 Report "Municipalities in the process of integration into the European Union", which is an assessment of the annual progress of Albanian municipalities regarding the integration criteria.

The meeting with the Municipality of Rrogozhina was attended by the Mayor, Mrs. Antonela Dedej, while from the EU delegation it greeted by Mr. Ardian Metaj, Program Officer for Transport and Energy. Messages of support for the work of municipalities in the integration process were conveyed by the Director of the Agency for Support of Local Self-Government, Mr. Bekim Murati.

The meeting was moderated by Mrs. Jolanda Trebicka, Project Manager of Municipalities for Europe, while the presentation of the report recommendations was carried out by Mrs. Mirsa Titka, whereas Mrs. Iva Çoku made a presentation of European Union funding and projects in Albania.
