As the EU Ambassador, Mr. Luigi Soreca, called them, ‘EU Integration Units are not only the EU ambassadors to local communities, but they are also community ambassadors to the EU’. We would like all the mayors in all 61 municipalities to give due importance and support to these structures. Better and happier municipalities mean better and happier citizens. "We cannot talk about European integration without talking about good governance and the rule of law."

This is the third Report and of course the conclusions are improving as progress is seen on the local level performance regarding the integration process. We are all aware that this is the only way to fulfil the aspiration of Albanians. Every effort and every commitment of AMVV and the ministry is necessary. Today we are talking about results because what we started in 2017 we now see becoming concrete with direct EU projects at the local level ".
