The Saranda European Integration Unit, in cooperation with the "Hasan Tahsini" high school students, organized an activity, aiming to make them and their peers aware of the dangers of drug use.
"Drugs and its consequences on young people", was the theme of the activity, during which young people were informed on actions that many states and societies in the European Union undertake to keep young people away from the use of narcotic substances.
Focusing on cultural and sports activities, as well as art and talent discovery, were identified as the best ways to prevent the spread of these substances amongst young people, as well as to orient them towards creative and fun activities with their peers.
During the activity, students prepared posters based on the topic, while some of them offered awareness messages to those present.
Participants in the activity were also a representative of the Police Directorate of Saranda and a doctor from the "Petro Nako" hospital, who explained the legal and health problems arising from the use of illegal substances.
