On 28 May 2018, the Municipality of Maliq in cooperation with the EU Corner of this municipality and with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Spain in Albania, organized at the city center a thematic event branded as “EU, a common public space of cultural diversity”.
The Spanish Performing Art Week in Albania, which was celebrated in our country through a series of concerts by renowned singer of hip-hop Arianna Puello, included in its itinerary the town of Maliq, sparking the atmosphere in this small town, as well as giving very strong messages about the geographical outreach of international activities.
The event was opened by the Mayor of Maliq, Mr. Gëzim Topçiu, who welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of expanding the outreach of international activities even in small towns such as Maliqi. He underlined that besides the hope of a viable place, these kinds of events stimulate dozens of hidden city talents that are inspired for a better future.
Ms. Eva Mendoza – Deputy Head of Mission, Consul as well as Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Spain in our country as well as the President of the Universal Peace Federation in Albania, Mr. Gaqo Apostoli, were among other distinguished guests at this event, who during their greetings for the audience gave important messages of co-existence and respect of cultural values between European countries and beyond.
