On February 14, 2018, some of the children of the EU-funded Underadio project carrying out its activities in the Kuçova region, visited the EU Corner in the municipality of this city.
After getting acquainted with some of the many materials exposed in the stends of this Corner, they decided to make some recordings and share this information with their peers across the country through radio waves they use for their projects. Their recordings this time were focused on these topics:
- Our planet, our future
- The fight against climate change
- The role of the EU in the development of the Agriculture sector
Underadio is a web radio platform with / and for children that aims at encouraging children to express themselves and raise their voice over matters/issues that concern them in school, family, and community. This radio platform for children is supported by Save the Children, Albania. Web Radio aims at using the Web as a tool to enable active citizenship and communication. They identify and present to the general public some of the issues that children face every day and expect their voices to be heard by policy makers in order to influence the improvement of the situation of children's rights in Albania. Underadio intend to increase the participation of children in school, in the family and in the community, using the web as a tool for children to express themselves freely.
