Selenica, 23 April 2019 – The European Integration and Foreign Assistance Coordination Unit in the Municipality of Selenica, organized an event marking the International Earth Day, in cooperation with students and teachers of the 7th and 8th grade of “Todi Koçeli” middle school.

Among the activities carried out on this occasion was a poetry space, dedicated to the preservation of our planet, and an exhibition of artistic works made out of recyclable materials, such as flowers planted in plastic bottles.

The students made posters with awareness messages about environmental protection and the various factors that may affect it, the consequences of pollution on living beings and how a damaged environment can cause extinction of species all around the world.

One of the messages passed on from the young students was that "In nature, nothing exists alone”, hence we must preserve its balance, so that disappearance doesn’t become our most sustainable legacy.

The European Integration and Foreign Assistance Coordination Unit in the Municipality of Selenica, will continue organizing similar information and awareness events with different interest groups.
