The Municipalities for Europe Project organised a full training session in the city of Vlora for about 30 local EU coordinators administering the EU Corners in their respective cities.

The focus of this training was the methodology of interactive communication of the EU Corners with various institutional actors, domestic and international, aiming at a proper administration of the daily workload of the EU Corner.

Based on the research conducted through a questionnaire organized by the Municipalities for Europe Project, it turned out that one of the challenges that EU Corner Coordinators in each of the municipalities in the country face, is the use of proper techniques for maintaining continuous communication with local and international institutions, as well as with the audience in general.

During the training, the EU Corner Coordinators had the opportunity to gain the necessary knowledge in this domain from project experts but also from similar examples/best practices brought to this training from Kosovo.

The  Municipalities for Europe Project, supported by the EU Delegation in Tirana, is among else focused on building local administrative capacities with regard to the implementation of European standards while exercising their functions and duties.

The next training session with the second group of EU Coordinators will be organised in the near future, in the town of Kruja on 6 and 7 March 2018.
