VLORA, May 6th 2019 – In the framework of “Europe Week”, Vlora hosted the “Municipality of youth” activity, where young students of the city became the representatives of their town, by playing the role of the city Councilors.
The activity mimicked a meeting of the City Council, where students positioned themselves according to the existing councilor seats and discussed and debated issues of different sorts, focused on the youth. The session was conducted according to the agenda, predetermined by previous meetings with the young people of the city, who identified their needs and requests.
The agenda items discussed and approved are as follows:
Adoption of the Draft Decision on Local Youth Plan 2019-2023; Adoption of the Draft Decision for planning and approving the youth budget referring to the local plan; Adoption of the Draft Decision for activities within the Local Youth Plan; Adoption of the Draft Decision for creating the structure for a representation body of the youth in city’s Municipality.
This activity was supported by the Vlora Youth Center and the Regional Youth Center in Vlora.
