May 16th 2019 - The European Integration and Foreign Assistance Coordination Unit in the Municipality of Kolonja, in cooperation with the head of the homologous unit in the Municipality of Përmet, organized in the framework of Europe Week, an information session on “Erasmus +” program with the city’s youth.
About 30 excellent students of the city’s high school attended the meeting. Initially the youth had an open discussion on the European Union and Albania’s integration process. They were well informed on the history, symbols and member states of the EU, but not so much on Albania’s integration process.
Later the head of the European Integration and Foreign Assistance Coordination Unit in the Municipality of Permet, informed the youth present on the opportunities provided by the “Erasmus +” program in Albania, while focusing mainly in student exchanges, volunteering and trainings, as the opportunities that target them.
Most of them didn’t have information on the program but their curiosity and will to take advantage of these opportunities was great.
The coordinator of the European Integration Unit told the youth that they find the information they need on the EU, at the EU Corner of their city. Such activities and cooperation’s will continue in the future.
