In the framework of “International Earth Day”, celebrated in 22nd of April, the European Integration Unit in the Municipality of Lushnje organized an activity at the “Vaçe Zela” Art Centre, called “Become a friend of Earth”.
A painting competition was held during the activity, attended by the students of 35 elementary schools of the city of Lushnje.
The “Kongresi i Lushnjes” and “Karbunarë e Madhe” schools won two 3rd prizes, the two 2nd prizes went to “Nënshkruesi i pavarësisë” and “Gramsh” schools, while the 1st prize was awarded to the elementary school of “Barbullinje”.
The certificates were given to the winners by the Deputy Mayor, Mrs. Teuta Korreshi and painter Ilir Çakalli.
During the activity, the coordinators of the European Integration Unit in the Municipality of Lushnje, gave information on the “Municipalities for Europe” project, as well as about the impact that Albania's integration process will have, on sensitive issues for the citizens also, like the environment and it’s protection.
