In the context of the 2022 European Year of Youth and the Conference on the Future of Europe, the European Committee of the Regions, the EU's voice of regions and cities together with the European Youth Forum, the voice of young people in Europe, today launched the co-creation process of a European Charter for youth and democracy. The Charter will strive to build and consolidate a youth friendly democratic space to ensure the voices of young people are formally, continuously and permanently represented in the European Union.
The European Committee of the Regions has urged “all local and regional governments in the European Union to support Ukraine in these times of need” and supported Ukrainian cities’ call for “the hardest possible sanctions to be imposed on the government of the Russian Federation”.
The 2nd meeting of the Steering Committee of the Project "Municipalities for Europe", a project funded by the European Union, took place in Tirana.
For two days, the Project "Municipalities for Europe" has held information sessions with the staff of the European Integration Units, for the "Horizon Europe" programme, which is one of the first of the new EU programs that has opened new calls.
