The European Committee of the Regions (CoR), together with Vitaliy Klitschko, the mayor of Kyiv, launched yesterday a new programme that will organize summer camps for Ukrainian children in European cities.
The cities were selected by the EU Commission and with its support, they should become trailblazers in the EU’s push for net-zero by 2050

In the context of the 2022 European Year of Youth and the Conference on the Future of Europe, the European Committee of the Regions, the EU's voice of regions and cities together with the European Youth Forum, the voice of young people in Europe, today launched the co-creation process of a European Charter for youth and democracy. The Charter will strive to build and consolidate a youth friendly democratic space to ensure the voices of young people are formally, continuously and permanently represented in the European Union.
The European Committee of the Regions has urged “all local and regional governments in the European Union to support Ukraine in these times of need” and supported Ukrainian cities’ call for “the hardest possible sanctions to be imposed on the government of the Russian Federation”.
The project will consist of an interactive augmented reality app and information screens on the streets
