"Walk with us!", Tropoja youth participates in awareness activities during the Mobility Week
16 SEPTEMBER 2019 - European Mobility Week has come with a series of activities for the European Integration Unit in the Municipality of Tropoja. Tropoja, as well as other cities in Albania, has become part of the activities taking place across Europe, as part of one of the most important campaigns supported by the European Commission, which promotes clean and sustainable transport for our cities.
Under the call "Walk with us!", The European Integration Unit in cooperation with the students of the "Konferenca e Bujanit" elementary school in the city of Bajram Curri conducted educational and entertaining activities with seventh grade students. Part of these activities was Mr. Bylbyl Hyka a driving school professor, as well as Peace Corps volunteers.
"Road safety" was one of the topics that was particularly touched on in detail, as the professor explained pedestrian signage and emphasized the importance of them being respected by everyone. The event continued with fun games and drawings within the European Mobility Week.
Since 2002, European Mobility Week has focused on improving public health and quality of life by promoting sustainable public transport. The campaign gives people the chance to explore the role of city streets and experiment with practical solutions to tackle urban challenges, such as pollution.
The European Integration Unit in the municipality of Tropoja will continue to organize awareness raising activities with the youth of the city, following the calendar of European days and weeks.
