Organized by ASPA and "Municipalities for Europe," coordinated by AKKSHI
On July 3rd and 4th, 2023, ASPA and MfE organized together the training with the first group of municipalities that expressed interest in participating in the Training Clinic, with AKKSHI being in the function of the coordinator.
Ms. Jolanda Trebicka, the Director of the "Municipalities for Europe" Project, stated that the involvement of structures managing European Union programs in Albania in the organization of these types of training sessions is an added value to the Training Clinics at this level. Representative of the Albanian School of Public Administration (ASPA), Ms. Elda Baguca, emphasized that such training sessions have been successful, and evidence of this is the increasing number of applications, which has further reflected in the benefits of funding through winning projects.
Ms. Mirela Muça, the Director of the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation (AKKSHI), as the National Coordinator of the Program for Albania, considered the organization of such training sessions with municipalities in the focus as part of AKKSHI's strategy to increase awareness and capacity building of these structures as means to also increase their participation in the Program.
The participants extensively discussed and followed the step-by-step journey, the technicalities to consider in a "Horizon Europe" call, the modalities of finding partners, practical exercises including registration on platforms, etc., as well as other tasks to be followed after the training. During the sessions, positive and inspiring practices were also shared by the municipalities of Përmet, Ms. Denisa Mamillo, and Shkodër, Ms. Stela Mardusha, beneficiaries of the previous "Horizon 2020" program. This training was made possible by ASPA and MFE under the coordination of AKKSHI. The participating municipalities in this group were represented by delegates from Vlora, Kurbini, Selenica, Lushnja, Roskoveci, Bulqiza, Divjaka, Durrës, Vora, Hasi, Kavaja, Delvina, Klosi, Shkodra, Gjirokastra, and Tirana.
