The Integration Unit of the Gramsh Municipality in cooperation with Peace Corps volunteers and the Youth Council organized for 5 days the 2019 Summer Camp from 29 July 2019 to 2 August 2019, within the framework of the "Municipalities for Europe" project, funded by the European Union. Dozens of children from 7 to 13 years old became part of various summer camp activities and sports such as team building games, ball games, small arts in painting, etc.
The children participated in short training sessions with the Gramsh Fire Department, where they were informed on how to act in the event of a fire, and also participated in awareness raising activities for keeping the environment clean by removing debris in the High School Field.
In addition to the various games, several activities were organized during the camp days in order to expand the knowledge and information about the founding, history and symbols of the European Union and the countries that are part of the European Union.
The older members of the camp also taught the younger members, information about EU countries, and then the younger campers represented these countries during the "European Campaign" tour that took place on the last day of the summer camp with the help of Gramshi Football Club.
During the organization of the summer camp, members of the Gramshi Youth Council were able to practice their leadership skills and at the same time serve the children of their community.
